One of our clients had a clear ambition: achieve reliable Maintenance Job Orders (MJOBs) and a maintenance policy that not only looks good on paper but is also widely supported within the organization. The challenge lay not only in the content but, above all, in connecting the various areas of expertise, interests, and ambitions that converge in real estate maintenance.

Together with Tsavo Insight, we therefore opted for an interactive approach in the form of three workshops. These were not standard sessions, but gatherings where real estate, maintenance, sustainability, strategy, and execution came together. By bringing both our experts and the client's experts together, space was created for sharp discussions, practical examples, and joint decisions. The workshops focused not only on policy but, above all, on collaboration, ownership, and creating a shared language regarding maintenance and investments.

The result was more than just a collection of agreements. The sessions formed the basis for a widely supported statement of principles and a future-proof maintenance policy. The client now has the tools to develop a sound maintenance policy that can count on support across the entire organization. At the same time, the process fostered stronger connections between teams, shorter lines of communication in collaboration, and a shared focus on quality, predictability, and sustainable choices for the future of the housing stock.
